"Oh yes! New possibilities, new biologies, new ideals, even possibly completely new views of life, space and world itself! There's so little we know and think, someone out there can easily create something different entirely!"

It took less than a second for Zala to get exited about the idea as well. To him, something out of known system could bring in unknown variables and thus give him something challenging to study and talk to. Thinking this, he spun around with clean shine in his eye for exitement.
Until he remembered where he was and who he should be, and his child-like adventurous spirit lowered very quickly.

"-Ehem. Yes, it'd be something quite extraodrinary. But sadly we have to wait for that.
So, to the next question. What are your plans on this ship? I understand you have good stable work here, but do you have any other specific plans than getting to meet the unknown and exiting new ideas out there?"

Kerrfi keeps her lent-forwards posture, and rests her elbows on her knees as she talks, the plates of armour resting on one-another. This pose causes her to have to spread her legs some measure to accomodate her large belly, but given her outfit, its far from a compromising position.

"Well, on the long-term, I'd like to get to know LUX a bit better... meet the crew, see some day-to-day life. I also need to visit the Food district, or whatever it is..." Her smile returns. "I could really get to like this place if you've got some fine dining... Oh, and if I ever hear the word 'Rations' I'm taking the first escape pod out of here, got it?" She gives a nasal snerk at her own joke, her trunk twitching a bit as she does. A very geekish laugh.

Zala jumped down from the back of the couch and sat down on it quite normally. Weight being on the word "quite", as he twisted his large hand behind his back and to hang over the side of the couch.

"Well then, we better hope that the biomass compressor doesn't go down. As long as that thing's running, there's not gonna be a shortage of food coming around anytime soon. Though, I could recommend you this one little place of the eight level, near the end of the ship. They have dreamy entrecoté over there.
Though, moving on with our project here. How're you settling down on the ship at this point? I understand work must keep you busy in some sense, but have you got time to settle down and look around to see what's up?"

She keeps here eyes on him as he speaks, sitting back a bit as she does, but still keeping her rump a small measure away from the back of the seat to give her stubby tail some breathing room.

"I haven't been here long, like I said... but its a great ship... I wasn't ecstatic about the idea of sharing a cabin with such a stuffy neat-freak, but I'm sure I'll help him loosen up eventually." She trails off, then asks, with her brows raised "I read the fact-file on this ship and... I wasn't entirely sure of what I was seeing... is it true this place has an erotic club in it?"

"Three, actually. And greater forces forbid, lot more of such art or lifestyle on smaller scale all around the ship, really. Though, I'd say it's rather obvious such things exist here. Erotical arts and sex are considered very good morale riser, and on long flights like this it will help people to loosen up on this ship.
Which would indirectly bring us to the next question: do you personally consider using such clubs or activities?"

Zala's toes were tapping air slowly in a rythm of a beat in his head, all while his tail's tip was slowly swinging from side to side next to his shoulder.
Upon asking his question, his eyebrow rose up clearly and his face turned from understanding to curious. Clearly this was something he didn't already answer for already, and wanted to know it so badly.

Kerrfi's pleasantly polite expression is... shattered. Her brow furrows, and in a fraction of a second she's -glaring- at him, even baring her square-headed teeth a little.

"That is an -incredibly- personal question, Zalakar. We've barely even met!" Her expression slackens a little, but she's still uncomfortable. "Next Question."
I can't believe they let a creep like this into such a high station.

"Understandable answer. Not all are as open as others about things like this."

Strangely, Zala's facial expression was one of fulfilled enjoyment. He had got the answer to his question, though it wasn't in a form of an answer. Those were always the best, and now he could just run through his head all the possibilities of Kerrfi's answer.

"But as you requested, next question.
    Which would be-"

Suddenly, Zala's right hand made a small vibrating noise, and tiny holographic note popped up to his face.
"-Ah, it seems we have to end this interview here. Time for my arm's schechuled maintanance. Though, I must ask that if you find any need to talk or anything, please don't hesitate to come to me. After all, I'm here to help people if they have any -and I mean ANY- problems."

Zala rose up from his seat, gave a small nod to Kerrfi and simply walked out of the room with fast pace. When he reached the hallway and saw nobody around, he Jumped away to his cabin, leaving nothing but emptiness in his wake to the hall.

She stands up, remaining quiet until he walks past her, and simply remarking "You've got some nerve." before taking her leave as well, not in a good mood at all.

Rejan stood up from his seat as he was called into the physiatrist room. Dressed in a plain black shirt and an freshly ironed, if slightly faded blue genes. He left his service pistol in his locker at the cabin he was staying in. Rejan didn't think he needed it and he didn't want the doctor to worry about him pulling it out and shooting him.

Slightly knocking on the door before he enter. "Dr." He nodded to the other fox and walked over to the empty chair. "My I sit?"

"Welcome, welcome! Have a seat, sure. Standing around would be rather stupid at this point, as talking's a lot more comfortable around in sitting posture."

Zala rose up behind his table the very moment Rejan walked in. The he proceeded to spin around the short end, sit down on the corner of the table and reach out toward the newcomer with his giant arm. Despite that they still had multiple meters of distance between each other.

"Zalakar Torranei, world class sociologist, M.T.A - team's only working member and boss, amateur detective and that guy you do not want to meet on a dark alley. Nice to meet you, mister Gordinier."

"Lets hope so." he said to Zala about meeting in a dark alley. "I'd hate to lose an eye."

"Its nice to meet you too Dr Torranei." Rejan said as he was close enough to reach out and shake the doctors hand with particularly long claw nails. Taking a seat in the long chair, Rejan got comfortable. He was a little surprised to hear Zala was the Lux only sociologist. Something this big should have at least two.

((To clarify, M.T.A does not stand for sociologist. It doesn't stand for anything to most of people on LUX, to be exact.))

"So, what have we here? A nice little room with two people, supposed to talk about something..."

Zala kicked the air with his other leg lazily, while his hand waved around drawing imaginary lines in the air.

"...But just talking would be really really boring. So, what you say we turn this into a game, mister Gordinier?"

With the last line, Zala's static happy face turned suddenly into wide and mad grin. The one where your eyes open wide and your teeth are visible, and clearly there's something sinister working in your head.

    (Oh ok)

"What kind of game Dr Torranei?" Rejan said with a calm face and tone. But that wide and mad grin the doctor had, gave him the willies. Not an easy feat and it certainly made him wish he did carry his service pistol or at least his ankle gun with him. Not that he thought Torranei would jump him.

With the answer, Zala kackled up a little and rose up from his posture, nearly jumping over to the other side of his table.

    "Excellent, excellent! With that-"
A snap of fingers, and one could clearly hear a small buzzing sound from the door as its magnet locks activated
"-we can begin the game immediately. Now, the door's locked, and only I have the opening sequence to it. Room's soundproof, so no shouting will get out to the hall or other rooms, and ventilation system's too small for you to crawl. VeX-connections are also jammed. I can leave whenever I wish without opening that door, but sadly you cannot.
Now, the game's simple: We take turns asking questions from each other. No lying, no averting the truth, no silence. If you can find out how I can get out of here, I'll open the door. Otherwise we're going to be here very, very long time.
But you can't just ask me how I'd get out of here, that'd ruin all the fun."

Zala's fingers were tapping each other in fast pace, while his mechanical eye swirled around the place like going out of control. He had a wide smile on his face, and clearly he was enjoying this way too much a normal person should. Well, at least he hadn't pulled out a knife or metal cutters for that matter.

(No worries, thanks for coming back)

Rejan tried to sit back comfortably in the chair, but this Dr Zala, with his mechanical eye and long finger nails, screamed some kind of mad scientist. Lets hope non of those degrees hanging on the wall behind him don't include Ponerology.

"Alright I'm game. You first?" Lets how far he wants to start this.

"Oh, gentlemanish to let me take the first shot. No matter, it won't buy you any pity points.
Let's start with a simple one: How did you get the crazy idea of boarding LUX into that interesting head of yours, hmm?"

Zala leaped standing on top of his table, crouching down into a preying vulture-like pose and tilting his head heavily to side while keeping clear eye-contact to Rejan. All the time he was moving slightly, either his head was twitching a bit or hands moved to sides.

That was an easy one. "There was an opening for an officers slot that I couldn't get in the IDEF at the time." He wasn't exactly sure why the doctor was doing on the table looking at him like that, but if he was looking to get a reaction out of him he was doing a good job as Rejans discomfort was starting to seep through the cracks.

"Are you trying to get a reaction out of me by looking at me like that?"

"Looking at you like wha- oooh, that. Yeah, you could say. Or at least my subconsious is trying to. You see, this thing here moves based on my reflexive brain impulses. Normally it just follows my other eye, but whenever my own mind think it should do something else, it does."

While saying that, Zala's eye turned upside-down without any warning, causing only the blackness of the back to be visible. He giggled a little while that happened.

"Hehe, this thing is always so funny. I can literally look at my own head inside out like this...
Say, would you like to be able to see what's inside your head? To get know what kind of crazy things happen there when you're not looking? Admit it, you'd want to know. The chaos of your own mind, that is."

"Right." Rejan watched as the mechanical eye go upside down and black. "Oh and how would that be done?" The fox answered. "I don't why not. But I don't see any mind reading machines in here, how is this going to work?"
It will probably be a bunch a questions, the fox thought to himself.

"Uu, nice answer there. But was it an answer, or just a question? Or maybe a question in form of an answer. Clever way to save time.
No mind readers, true, but we don't need those. You'll see your madness at some point."

With few taps to his head, Zala got the eye to turn back facing forward. This was immediately followed with dizzy spin on his part.

"Whoooa, that felt weird... Anyway, you're obviously taking your time for getting the answer to your problem. Not good, I might have to come up with some extra motivators...
Still, you should tell me how you've been up here on this ship. Got things under control and such?"

"I see." Rejan said as he waited for Zala eye to settle back into place. "Lets see." he sight a little as he as he thought about it. "Its Luxs crew on the bridge. Their fresh from what ever school they came from and the navigations are something else. The equipment is fine but almost everyone is green to the job. That wouldn't be a problem but when there are only a handful of experienced crew to get things going."

While he's only been a lieutenant for a few months, he's served on several ships before. "Its going to take some time to get everyone up to date."

"How did you get that mech eye?" The first thing that came to Rjans mind was a crazy patient coming at him with a shank... An unsettling thought.

"...Your objective is to find out how I can get out of here, and you start asking about my eye? Wow, you really do use some interesting interrogation methods.
Got it the same way as rest of my great body parts: Got stuck in a landslide on Vulquwera, my ride crushed up like a tin foil can and I had to walk all the way back up to civilization. Got so much heavy metals, radiation, cancers and half a dozen other nasty things in my body that cloning was impossible, and my body defects majority of implants.
Oh, don't worry there, I'm not radioactive. At least not enough to be lethal."

While talking, Zala's real eye winked a bit, and then he gave out a long sigh.

"Still, I miss my old body parts... Especially that specific cell group up next to my ears in my skull.
Say, have you ever really lost anything you truly hoped to get back any way possible?"

He suppose he did forget about that little detail of getting out of here. If the sociologist wasn't quit the character, he probably wouldn't have forgotten.

The fox couldn't imagine what he went through. Vulquwera was one of those places Rejan couldn't stand. It was the polar opposite of Atoka. The only times he was there, was when the IDEF ships he was serving on was fueling up and they were given leave to get drunk.

"I wish I could regain some of my innocents I lost in Pan Am." Rejan said with a bit of a sigh. "Near the end of the war at the battle of Yunnan Gulf, the war lords and the pirates where getting desperate. Most of the people we where shooting at where kids conscripted into the fighting. We didn't know how many there where until after the fighting was over. I'm talking about kids who young enough, they had to shoot at the hip because they couldn't hold the rifle up to their shoulder."

"I wish didn't have to kill them... Its hard to explain to people who's never been there, who's never been shot at in a life and death situation." He had to pause for a long moment. Old emotions where creeping up and had to be pushed down. "So whats a fox got to do to get out?"

Zala leaped up into standing position the moment he realized he almost told the answer of the riddle to Rejan.

"Very well, then I just skip over that question. Gimme another one, or do you rather want me to take my turn? You did almost break the rules, there."
