    Testing the Bridge controls

Post by Django on 07.01.13 2:36

Hi guys. I know there isn't a lot of characters at the moment who are part of the bridge, but I was thinking about practicing an emergency drill (for like the combat.) and was looking for other possible players to join in.

I guess I also wanted to check and see if this would be alright before I go ahead with anything.

I think this sounds great! At least security unit type of characters and maybe pilots and navigators could join. I'm eager to see where this goes~

Hmm. Sounds like this might require a document on what the basic emergency directions are in general.

I would be interested in participating/lurking, at least.

This could actually be a good idea for a shipwide sideplot, with announcements and all. It would make sense for Lux to organize a shipwide practice/security meeting so everyone knows their nearest evacuation routes. Let's see how the other mods (and the admin) feel about it...

After thinking about it, I support this idea.
IT requires some planning, sure, but nothing we can't pull through quite easily. Plus, it'd give something med-big to happen so that there'd be something to connect people.

We don't need to do thing by the book or army standards. But try to make things sound realistic or reasonable, we are probably not all in the army or experts on the subject (I'm neither, but I like to keep myself informed). But we should keep it fun.

The basic ideas I have are, the Lux fighter ships intercept fake targets, like some Lux fighters are good guys while others play the bad buys in this, equiped with fake rounds of course. No one wants to destroy important expensive space fighters.

The security units meanwhile have a small but sectioned off portioned of the lux to practice fighting off a mock boarding party (Pop up paper targets or holograms since its space age). Using what ever the setting has to offer for non lethal.

Mean while the bridge is in command of all of this. Giving order to everything and everyone like a real life scenario.

Now for the case of Where is Wor´r Danqar in all of this. He could take part of it being the captain of the ship or another idea is he would rather sit back see what his men are capable of doing with out his keen knowledge and know how, and assess it after the drill is done.
