How easy is it to replace an organ and how expensive is it? For example a heart or a uterus.

Quite easy. Relatively speaking. Laser surgery and automated cutting tools, combined with nanotechnology create situations where extracting/replacing, for example, a heart with a tank grown (cloned) living organ can be done with success-rates of 70-85 %.

It will be quite costly though. A middle class family would have to save all their yearly income to pool together enough.

There are two things that are impossible to (fully) replace, brain and spine. Brain damage can be sort of repaired via nanoelectronics acting as a replacement for the damaged part, and spine can be replaced with a somewhat working implant counterpart. That would require a lot of rehabilitation to get back into a normal life.

What kind of crew Exolux Vehicles need to operate?

Essentially they only need two. Pilot and navigator. But often there are others on board as safety detail and mechanics.

Basic layout:

Nitpicking about block rooms...

I'd like more definition on the room block things - what do they look like when bought? Do they transform or is everyone doomed to live in a room made out of blocks? How much space do they take?

How about custom made furniture and other larger pieces? Are traditionally made items possible to keep in the room (carpentry pieces, art/sculptures, etc)?

Why are the blocks necessary anyway? Wouldn't normal furniture work?

Just because of that. Ships like Lux have very limited resources, and even more limited cargo capacities. Therefore simple and functional blocks work best/cheapest. Of course, nothing denies you from having more complicated furniture than that.

Blocks look exactly like blocks. And yes, they do transform once set in place. But not in any super high-tech impossible way. More like flipping the top part to reveal a TV. Basically, the term "block" comes from the way the furniture is stored, in block shapes. So when bought, they are 1x1x1m cubes. Then you flip things about and spin this and unscrew that to get an armchair. For example that is. Creativity is not your enemy here. One can design many things to come in cube form. It just requires some work to get into usable form.

Also, yes. Passengers may bring their own furniture. It just costs extra.

How is birth control handled?

Very similar to our current form. Hormonal medications and preservatives (condoms/femidoms). Medications are a lot more effective and therefore require less continual use, three doses a month is 99,99% proof.

Also, abortions and castrations are viable choices for they are a lot easier with advanced technology.
